Coding and Embedded Criteria

AveCare maintains and updates criteria interfaces and all coding requirements on a continuous basis.

• Embedded Criteria:  For admissions/services that require clinical review, AveCare supports the integration of client selected clinical criteria and length of stay information for use during the review process.  The criteria can be accessed either through the entry of a diagnosis/procedure or through a general lookup function.  To meet the needs of our diverse clientele, any available electronic criteria including Milliman's CarewebQI can be mapped into the AveCare Platform.
• Coding:  To Facilitate Review Intake: CPT, HCPCS and ICD codes and narratives are searchable at point of entry.  AveCare has been modified to accommodate the new code length, tables, interfaces and report formats to make the complex transition anticipated with ICD-10 and HIPAA 5010 regulations go as seamless as possible.
